JOB OVERVIEW
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Automation Test Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated tests to ensure the quality of our software products. You will work closely with the development and product teams to understand the requirements and functionality of the applications and create comprehensive automated testing solutions to enhance efficiency and productivity.
Responsibilities:
- Design and Develop Automated Test Scripts:
- Create and maintain automated test scripts using testing frameworks and tools.
- Develop reusable, maintainable, and reliable automation code.
- Test Execution and Reporting:
- Execute automated test cases and report results.
- Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs.
- Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.
- Collaboration:
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand application functionalities and testing requirements.
- Participate in design and code reviews to provide feedback from a testing perspective.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Continuously improve the test automation framework and processes.
- Keep up to date with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies in test automation.
- Provide training and support to the QA team on automated testing.
Required Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience:
- 2+ years of hands-on experience
- experience as an Automation Test Engineer or similar role.
- Experience with test automation tools and frameworks
- Solid experience in software testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Good understanding of basic programming primitives, data structures
- Deep understanding of network protocols-an advantage
- Familiarity with tools like TRex, Scapy, and Wireshark
- Experience with Linux containers (LXC) and similar technologies (Docker, etc.) is a plus
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python.
- Excellent data analysis skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues involving multiple software programs/hardware protocols
- Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git).
- Familiarity with API testing tools (e.g., REST Assured).
- Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Coordinate effectively across organizational boundaries and geographies
- Strong self-initiative, independence, and flexibility to new technologies
- Good English – reading/writing/speaking
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying issues.
